Platinum Canadian Maple Leaf

Grade & Mint:
First introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1988, the Platinum Maple Leaf bullion coin is minted at a purity of 99.95% fineness. Until 1999, the issue was also in other denominations. As a result of the dwindling demand, the minting of the coin was temporarily suspended but production was resumed in 2009.

Design:
On the reverse of the Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf coins is the sugar maple leaf design. Included on this face are engravings of the nation of issue, purity of the coin, metal content, and weight.

The obverse will feature one of three possible designs of Queen Elizabeth II portrait based upon the year of issue you receive.
